Washington, D.C. –Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS), who was confirmed
today by Senate Republicans as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee,
announced that he had selected Keith Kennedy to be Staff Director of the
Committee.
Kennedy is presently serving as Deputy Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. Senate. He
previously was Senior Public Policy Advisor at the law firm of Baker, Donelson,
Bearman, Caldwell, and Berkowitz.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, he had served as Professional Staff Member, Staff Director, and Minority Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Appropriations from 1979-1997.
He earned Bachelor and Masters degrees from Duke University and is married to Patricia Cregan Kennedy, and they have two sons, James Keith Kennedy, Jr., and John Patrick Kennedy.
